On April 9, 2025, Hu Weining, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department and Vice Chairman of the Federation of Industry and Commerce of Yantai City, led a 15 member delegation composed of government and enterprise representatives to officially visit the Saudi Chinese Chamber of Commerce and held a symposium and exchange activity. After the symposium, both parties signed a strategic cooperation agreement, laying a solid foundation for future in-depth cooperation.
Zhang Xing, President of the Saudi Chinese Chamber of Commerce, warmly welcomed the delegation and stated in his speech that with the continuous warming of economic and trade relations between China and Saudi Arabia, the Chamber of Commerce will continue to promote exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Saudi enterprises, and help Chinese enterprises develop in Saudi Arabia. President Zhang Xing emphasized that the visit of the Yantai delegation is not only a communication between the government and enterprises, but also a new starting point for bilateral cooperation.
Later, Vice Minister Hu Weining said in his speech that Yantai attaches great importance to foreign economic cooperation and industrial internationalization. As an important country along the "the Belt and Road", Saudi Arabia has a broad market and development potential. The purpose of this visit is to gain a deeper understanding of the investment environment in Saudi Arabia and expand the development opportunities for Yantai enterprises in the Middle East region.
During the discussion session, representatives from several accompanying enterprises in Shandong briefly introduced their main businesses and international development plans. Lawyer Xu Gaihui, the legal advisor of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, systematically introduced Saudi Arabia's business environment, legal system, investment evaluation system, and possible related risks to the delegation, helping Chinese enterprises to have a more comprehensive and objective understanding of the local market.
After the symposium, the Yantai delegation and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The agreement covers multiple aspects such as economic and trade exchanges, investment promotion, legal consultation, and information sharing.
